Project Description
Russell Construction collaborated with Goodwyn, Mills and Cawood Architects in a design assist project for PowerSouth Energy Cooperative to build a state of the art Energy Control and Data Center on the Andalusia, Alabama campus in 2016. The project consisted of 14,000SF of hardened concrete structure that housed the Control and Data Centers, and was built to resist Category 5 tornado and hurricane winds. The building included another 30,000 square feet of office, training, other support spaces. Nation Energy Commission Specifications regarding security, emergency operations capability and systems/redundancy were achieved. The contract amount was $19,122,000.
